Magnificent, Marvellous, Mighty Monday and Savings or Credit?

I am in our local supermarket, rushing as you do. Pinched faces. A bag of oranges and chicken necks. People pushing trollies, arguing with their children, talking on mobiles with rapt in-attention. I am in the very long queue studying trashy magazines. Rice crackers and rice milk.
For one glorious second, I glimpse behind the masks of all the shoppers to see the child within every shopping adult. Cat food and watermelon. The child that glories in the magic of Christmas. "Savings or credit?" the cashier asks.
A beautiful salesgirl in a store confides to me in a tear-filled voice that she has never enjoyed Christmas. Has always felt betrayed since she first discovered presents from 'Santa' under her mother's bed. "I still believe. I still believe," I whisper in her ear. I hope she hears me.
I believe goodness is rewarded. But it is wise to choose savings over credit.
I'm going to take a short break to enjoy the coming festivities and think about Tale Pedder's future direction. I shall be still reading your Blogs. Thank you for following me, commenting or lurking. I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and Holy Christmas.
Stay safe. Play nice.
I love this photo of me and my daughter above. You can see the light in both our eyes if you look closely. May your light within your eyes glow more brightly this Christmas and the following year. That is my wish for you.

Following, commenting and lurking ... that's me!

Enjoy the season and best wishes to you and your family.

One word I am going to take, as buzz word into 2010 ... Believe.

    Thank you, Josephine :)x

  16. what a joyful, beautiful picture :) most people nowadays have lost all their magic, it's the purest truth, and they don't believe anymore, they just don't. christmas seems to be so superficial these days. i'm not religious at all, but i feel it. the joy of these days, being with the family and feeling the warmth :) ♥

  17. Josephine, I'm hoping your Christmas in that amazing country so far off is wonderful. I see the love for Daisy in your sparkling eyes, and she is definitely a happy child. I wish her well as she moves on to another 'big girl' school.

Perhaps, like me, you wonder whether the blogging world is necessary. I'm coming up to my third anniversary and keep thinking perhaps I should say au revoir, cheerio, see you later friends! But that's just it - the glue that keeps me stuck, the friends, all the wonderful friends I've made around the world. If I don't blog I'll miss them so much. So, do I keep going, try not to be concerned that I may become boring, or shall I bow out gracefully....and try to disentangle myself from the camera neck strap????

Meanwhile dear, thank you for becoming one of those online friends whom I enjoy very much.
Best wishes always - I'll be looking for you after they ring in the New Year!

  18. Lovely, lovely post.

Hope you had a beautiful Christmas.

  19. Happy & Blessed New Year darling. Wishing you and yours good health, much happiness and vast fortune in the new year.

    Love & Hugs
